Danny Hung-Chieh Chou, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes, Stanford University
Research Description: We are using synthetic chemistry approaches to generate a series of polyagonists that target the GPCRs FFAR4 and GLP1R. This work builds on findings by my Stanford colleagues Peter Jackson and Seung Kim. I have previously collaborated productively with both the Jackson and Kim groups. Although relatively new to obesity research I am excited about the implications of this work for metabolism and obesity investigations. In addition, I serve as co-director of the Metabolism Affinity group (20 members) in the Stanford Diabetes Research Center (SDRC). In this role, I have coordinated enrichment and training activities. Thus, I am excited to bring multiple strengths and relevant experience to my roles in the NORC. We collaborate extensively with many members of the NORC.
